start kaffeine

stdout gives me:

I have a LUKS-encrypted /home device (which in turn is a LVM partition).
This setup worked very well until updating to 9.10.
When booting, I am prompted for the passphrase (I always boot with the

Maybe installation of the pulseaudio volume control (package
pavumeter) helps. It shows the current input level while you change
the volume control, so you instantly see if the internal mic records any
noise.

Internal microphone doesn't work on Asus eeePC 1005HA
I was running 9.04 totally fine, and 8.10 before, no issues like this.
Did a complete fresh install of Karmic and this error is happening all
the time. I have an AMD64bit processor and a MSi board with built in ATI
graphics. I'm using the suggested proprietary driver too.

[Dell Inc. Vostro 1000] suspend/resume failure
Same situation with me. Philips webcam worked fine under 9.04. After upgrade to
9.10 could not detect video device
lsusb appears to detect the device:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04a9:1729 Canon, Inc. MX700 ser
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0471:2034 Philips
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux
Yes, and in karmic seems to be a problem with dns anyhow.
I installed pdns-recursor. Now it works without the additional lines and
also browsing is as fast as usual again (e.g. this site).
BTW, there's no problem with my provider's name server.
Cheers,
Martin
