Wow. Really WOW! Thanks so much! After changing this, and aside from a

I, too, had a similar problem (with nvidia-glx-195 on a Karmic box), and
the problem cleared up after I installed linux-headers-generic-pae. I'm
now successfully running 2.6.31-16-generic-pae and nvidia-glx-195 and
seeing all 4 GB of RAM in my system.

I believe that I may have come up with a work-around for the
Insufficient Privileges error.
I inadvertently deleted my top panel and had to re-create it. When I
added the Indicator Applet Session, my NetworkManager applet re-
appeared. I was then able to go into the Mobile Broadband tab and

Do you know that some other themes and software use exactly the same
design (crossed red circle) or something very similar for Cancel?
I understand that the Trash icon might have some ambiguity on whether
the item in question will be recoverable, but the Red Circle icon is
completely

Installed linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic, getting much better

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that

I'm seeing intermittent compiz crashes when launching smplayer as well.
Enabling 'loose binding' and setting Texture Filter to 'Best' seems to

the action is an irreversible action it should not use the edit-delete

I also had this problem, using xfce 4.6 with compiz as my window
manager. I disabled the Session Management compiz plugin, and the
problem stopped come back after this.
