Just wanted to add that I am using Xubuntu as my desktop. Inkscape has
had issues with some of the XFCE components, so it's possible it is

Oh, I forgot to add. All power users should merely use the keyboard
shortcut ubuntu-button and D or window ikon- AAHHRRG;-( and
D, in order to display/hide the Desktop.
All the best. I think Tal Liron genuinely cares about Ubuntu. Don't
loose him, he is a valuable contributor!

As you can read in the upstream report, this is a bug in GTK+ (already
fixed), not glade. So update to the latest stable GTK+ version (3.2.2)

As I understand it this is a workaround for the bug which would enable
Gimp to work in Oneiric and has a very low chance of causing regressions
in Gimp. All Ubuntu would need to do is add this patch to their Gimp
package to disable the history buffer and release it as an
I'm having the same issue. When I try the workaround, my bridged
connection (via eth0) receives a 169.254.xx.xx address. Verified DHCP

(used in some ancient tools like yum).

I've checked but I do not have fingerprint-gui installed.
