I was having this problem with a new intallation of Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric
Ocelot, so any notion that the bug is fixed is a jump ahead of reality.
Apparently, it is known exactly what needs to be done to fix it, but
nobody actually gets it done so that the ordinary Ubuntu user with an
up-to-date
Can you try running stress -c 4 ( or 6 if you have that many cpu cores )
for a while and see if that reboots? This seems to be a hardware
problem of some kind, or possibly a kernel problem. You might also try
booting back into the oneiric kernel and see if it happens there.

If a Nautilus bookmark contains a underscore, it appears underlined in
the launcher quicklist of the bookmarks.
For example: the bookmark new_folder appears with the F underlined in the
quicklist.
Or: the bookmark unity_5.2 appears with the 5 underlined in the quicklist.
