12.04 and ltsp-server-standalone.
The point is that any program might change a .conf file. So in the case
of an update there is the question what to do with an non-standard .conf

Interestingly enough, rhythmbox-client --notify seems to be an exception

What I've noticed is that when it stops working you can get it back up and
running by giving multiple restarts to apache.
After a few attempts it will start working again. Apache performs a daily
restart due to logrotation etc. on my server and about one out of every 5
restart cycles will break

@Chucktr I can leave my Ubuntu 11.10 machine to boot while in the
docking station and when I come back to it (3-20 minutes later) the
