Can you run xinetd manually with the -d flag to verify that it is not
failing to parse on startup as well? Trying to reproduce but comments
on the same line as a configuration option fail to parse in both
instances. It appears xinetd's config parser only looks for '#'

happens. The postinst for dovecot-common uses ucf, which prevents this,

grub2 uses grub-mkconfig (called by update-grub) to regen the grub.cfg
file, as the linux and initrd.gz files are downloaded correctly by koan
to /boot/linux and /boot/initrd.gz you can get use it to regenerate the
grub.cfg file.

However, the mini.iso is a really convenient and valid way to trigger a
network installation.
Brainstorming here in Montreal, we decided that mini.iso's are small
enough that we could actually put logic in an Ubuntu Orchestra cronjob
that regularly downloads and imports Ubuntu's
Hopefully this works. I'm attaching a working nis.conf and nis-
wait.conf based on the comments so far. Put the files in /etc/init and
that should be all that's necessary for most configurations. You
shouldn't even need to remove the /etc/rc?.d nis links since it should
just determine it's

for us, winbind is dead, black screen on Console, no longer can ssh into
machine using
Active Directory credentials.

Carlos, apologies if our status change has alarmed you. The status is
invalid in Natty only, because its been removed from natty.
Notice that it is status == Triaged in Lucid which means we plan to
fix it. I've also targetted it at 10.04.3, which is the next stable
point release for 10.04.

starts properly at boot. Thanks!

Importance:
This happens on a regular base, about once a day. Sometime I need to
reboot and Alt+PrintScreen+B doesn't event work. Sometime it does.
