I think it is to do with the graphics drivers rendering too quickly.
Intel HD Graphics works fine now. AMD doesn't seem to be, and I'm not

Has anyone done any performance analysis of this in the past? If not can

Reverts commit 56c90e29f04727c903bd0f084d23bf44eb1a0a11, applies cleanly to
xorg-server 1.11.4
The commit referenced by Bug 40063 no longer reverses cleanly against
xorg-server version 1.11.4. Attached is an updated patch that should
work.
