My laptop, a Thinkpad T450s, often hangs with a black screen on resume
from suspend; I have to power off and back on to recover. I'd estimate
that this happens perhaps one in every two or three resumes, so it's
pretty annoying.
I'm currently running 18.04, but was on 16.04

On upgrade from xenial to bionic, /usr/lib/lxd/upgrade-bridge says "This
system isn't running LXD, assuming stock configuration", despite the
fact that it has an existing LXD installation. This is because it uses
"lxc finger", which was removed in LXD 3.0.0.

Indeed. PuTTY 0.62 and earlier had a habit of generating slightly short
keys sometimes.
This is unlikely to change in OpenSSH - the minimum key size is only
likely to increase over time. I'd strongly suggest just generating a
2048-bit key, since SSH keys are usually pretty easy to roll over.
