applets, those are overlapping the menus of programs. When clicking on
an indicator, the underlying menu is activated, though, making the

I found out something interesting by accident.
If I create a natty boot disk with usb-creator-gtk and choose the option
to store documents and settings on the disk (tested with 1GB) the crc32c
error occurs, but if I turn it off and select to discard any changes on
shutdown, it works!

As of today gwibber is back to normal. I did not change a thing, but at
about noon (GMT+2) gwibber loaded tweets from Twitter again and also
loaded older ones, too.
This bug is resolved by mystery for me.

Hey mark, I upgraded to Karmic and don't have any problems anymore.
Unfortunately I did not write down the version numbers before I did so.
My problem was due to the jaunty-backports repository which installed a
combination of aqbanking and gnucash versions that did not work

I just installed libgsf-bin and noticed that nautilus now shows thumbnails for
*text* documents. But spreadsheets like *.xls and *.ods are not covered by this.
I'd say better textfiles than no files, but just textfiles would not close this
bug for me, so I think it's not sufficient to make

2986 frames in 5.0 seconds = 597.155 FPS

I'm experiencing the same problems on a thinkpad with an Intel Mobile
GM965/GL960.
I noticed two things:
1) GL-applications seem to work better (less flickering, less textures missing)
when compiz is turned off (tested with glxgears and google earth)
2) There is no hardware acceleration
Without compiz:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ glxgears
2798 frames in 5.0 seconds = 559.539 FPS
2671 frames in 5.0 seconds = 533.488 FPS
2760 frames in 5.0 seconds = 550.889 FPS
With compiz:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ glxgears
2293 frames in 5.0 seconds = 458.450 FPS
2360 frames in 5.0 seconds = 469.041 FPS
when desktop effects are deactivated.

I'm not very familiar with how things work on launchpad, but I think
about 5 months after reporting and dozens of supporting reports, it's
adequate to set the importance to medium since it breaks some
functionality anyway.
