Binary package hint: nvidia-cg-toolkit
nvidia-cg-toolkit is getting a timeout on the buildd during the setup
phase when attempting to download cg from nvidia. The file downloads
fine on a separate system. This causes packages which depend on nvidia-
cg-toolkit during build
Is anyone successfully using the Debian released version of partimage on
amd64? If it is not broken I will look into creating a Debian bug to
remove the Packages-arch-specific flag, which should allow it to build
on Karmic.

Correct, mpi-default-bin and mpi-default-dev are not having their
dependencies resolved.

Just for fun I shut down the machine from within GDM, never logging in
(I did some work over ssh instead). There were no beeps whatsoever.
Can anyone else confirm? If so, I think it's the fast-user-switch,
and/or the processes it uses to shut down.

This issue is caused by missing includes in a few places, and GCC-4.4. I
would create a patch to apply for an Ubuntu version, but this package
seems to manage patches in a convoluted way, and doesn't apply them at
build.

It appears this (may be) caused by the new GCC being more stingy about
includes, they must be explicitly added. This package builds fine on
Jaunty without modification. I wouldn't be surprised if more packages
end up in the same boat when they're brought over.

I can confirm this behavior. It appears to happen when doing any
modification to all appointments, such as changing the time or name, I
tested down to 2 recurrences of a weekly appointment.

is only a warning, and not an error. The fact that the warning is
printed often is a slight annoyance that will be fixed in a future
kernel

I have attached a stack trace of evolution from start to creating a
calendar item which repeats weekly for two weeks, to changing the time
of the event and evolution locking up (I did a force quit relatively
soon afterwards).

If you rename the file on the USB stick the check will pass, and as a
bonus the name will stick if you unmount and remount (though fsck.vfat
will tell you it is orphaned). The file is named ppp_45~.d even on the
.img when loop mounted.
