No I don't believe so (from memory). It's quite possible that this problem no longer occurs, as both the nVidia drivers and Compiz has moved on considerably since I reported this. When I get a chance I'll try to replicate it again on the PC I originally had this problem with. -- Some Compiz

By tearing I mean, vsync is not enabled. I actually had a go at debugging this and quite frankly the code of fusion icon is something I would be embarrassed of if it were my work. I'm not using it any more, mainly because I have no need to turn compiz on and off any more. -- Some Compiz
