Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: postgresql-8.3
I have a Hardy server running PostgreSQL 8.3 only (there are no 8.4
packages installed).
After upgrading a Postgres server from 8.3.8 to 8.3.9 using apt
(particularly postgresql-server-dev-8.3 version 8.3.9-0ubuntu8.04),
pg_config lists
I added hardy-backports from security.ubuntu.com (it was defined already
for archive.ubuntu.com), but it didn't seem to change the behaviour.
Here is a sorted list of my /etc/apt/sources.list :
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
It appears this was a odd relic issue after upgrading the server from
Gutsy (now unsupported).
Issue was resolved by:
$ sudo apt-get purge postfix
then
$ sudo apt-get install postfix-pgsql
** Changed in: postfix (Ubuntu)
Status: New = Invalid

Broken Hardy package: postfix-pgsql
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: postfix-pgsql
On a Hardy server with typical deb sources list, I can't seem to install
postfix-pgsql. I tried update/upgrade, but it still won't install. Here
is my attempt:
$ sudo apt-get install postfix-pgsql

Broken Hardy package: postfix-pgsql
Unfortunately, my apartment in was broken into, and sadly I don't have
that iBook anymore! The best I can do is to provide details of the
hardware: 1st generation Apple iBook from December 2001, 600 MHz G3
processor, 20 GB HD (with OS 10.4 installed on HFS+; no other partitions
or special
Public bug reported:
I have Ubuntu_PowerPC_dapper (6.10.1), and I tried an install in the LiveCD
mode, and wanted to see how the install would work, without actually installing
over OS X. However, when I click Cancel before partitioning, I get a Abort
the installation? dialog with Cancel/Quit
Here is the screen capture showing the dialog that won't go away (none
of the Cancel, Quit or [x] buttons respond in any way).
