I do not experience this, the menu item is removed correctly.

request it might be best if there was a way we could detect whether

Also this way the branding would be easy for other distros, say Linux
Mint wanted to brand it; without putting more work

/usr/share/gnome/shutdown that is meant to be run on shutdown. The
reason the file is not played is that the piece of code that is meant to
be in gnome-session to run all files in the
