Brightness control not working after latest
Same here on a Lenovo Thinkpad W510. The brightness sliider in settings
does not work as well as the hardware keys. I am using Nvidia drivers.
What is also interesting is that I rebooted 2 times before now and the
hardware keys did not even bring up the brightness slider overlay on the
top right,
Elijah, open a new issue or look for an existing issue e.g. I think bug
776590 covers this problem.

Well, it seems as if the bug's back. In addition, I am also not able to
adjust the volume nor the keyboard backlight via my laptop's function
keys.

Same here.
The brightness controls on my MacBook Pro stopped working. The pop-up
that usually shows the brightness level does not longer pop up, and the
keys that adjust the brightness don't work anymore.
As a side note, the keys that control the keyboard backlight still work,
however the pop-up

I've reproduced this on a MacBook Air 4,1. Everything is fixed if I back

Yes, I have problem with it too. My temporary solution is:
sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=xx
where 00:02.0 is my device (maybe works for you too) and xx is value in
hex from 0 to ff - it works fine for me
I am create short script for console and for gui too, and create alias
to ~/.bashrc for run

After today's update my brightness controls aren't working anymore.
After checking the System Settings, Brightness and Lock there is no
longer any brightness slider bar shown for manual setting either. So my
screen is fixed on full brightness. I'll attach screen
