Hi Andrè,
In the tools directory (install/tools) there is a bash-script called
script-update.
run it from linux or cygwin to update your scripts directory to the cvs
versions.
Read the script to understand it a little better, and be aware of the
limitations.
You might want add exceptions if you
Hi Peter,
What are you using for the PXE boot on the server side?
If it's tftpboot with the PXE image from unattended you edit the
pxelinux.cfg/default file.
(dd a floppy image to a file and use that as an initrd with the memdisk
kernel.)
The manual for PXELinux
Hi wolf,
I think the problem is the initrd=undisc3.img part. undis3c.img is a DOS
based bootdisk, and doesn't support passing the parameters like the linux
bootdisk. The normal linux based install (initrd=initrd) should work. Or are
you using undis3c.img because the linux boot doesn't work for
Hi George,
Did you escape the quotes in your todo line?
Try
todo.pl .reboot-on 194 %Z%\packages\muitemp\winnt32.exe
/unattend:\%Z%\packages\muitemp\mui.txt\ /copysource:\lang\
/copydir:\MUITEMP\ /s:\%Z%\packages\muitemp\
Basically go to a CMD prompt. Type the command you want to use. If it works
Hi Susi,
Some programs don't like it when the last line of a (configuration) file
doesn't end with a carriage return and/or linefeed.
From your file it looks like line 97 is the line with WINSServerList. Edit
the file and add an empty line after that (98) and see if this helps.

differences in the file you mention in the .csv
If you
don't want that behaviour, change the last few line in
site\config.pl.
(Sorry, ask someone who knows more of Perl, for the details of
that.)

Hi Ben,
Doesn't the port (IP_10.0.0.242) have to be created first?
I've had trouble installing my printer, but solved it by creating the port
first.
What is the exact error message you get?
To create a port I use a reg file and add start /wait regedit /s
%Z%\site\printer.reg
to the printer
Hi,
If you're talking about unattended.csv: if you use the special value of
Empty, the answer is blank, and you won't get prompted.
012345679ABC,middle_scripts,Empty
Or else like imdos suggested, you can put the value straight in the
unattend.txt.

Hi Marcus,
The best documentation are the scripts themselves :-)
In batch files a double :: acts as a comment.
(a : at the beginning of a line is a label to be used in a goto statement,
og a command)
The comments serve different functions:
Batch files with :: MASTER xxx or :: OPTIONAL xxx are
Hi,
I haven't had your problem exactly, but I've seen the same error message
before.
In my case it was caused by the permissions on the(Windows 2000) unattended
share used to install.
Setting the correct permissions on the unattended folder/directory and
forcing them to all files and
Hi Ingo,
From the Lotus site, I see a command line msiexec /i Lotus Notes 6.msi
/qn INSTALLDIR=C:\Test DATADIR=C:\Test\Data TRANSFORMS=custom.mst
Did you try this with all 3 parameters (INSTALLDIR, DATADIR and
TRANSFORMS).
(There seems to be a difference between the installdir and the datadir.
Hi Richard,
Things to try:
- adding the domain of your server the the account name like:
net use z: \\server\install abcd /user:domainname\alex (Of course the
username alex must exist in the domain.
- what happens when you do net use z: \\server\install /user:alex?
(without the password). do
Hi,
TFTPD32 can be configured to pass options, but it won'y let you do it from
the user interface. You'll have to use an ini file or edit the registry.
Using regedit, goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TFTPD32\DHCP.
Add a DWORD value and call it AddOptionNumber1. Set the value to 233
decimal (or
