I think that you can try it out(test-case), basically because the volume
license key is meant to be for the Pro version and therefore shouldn't
work on the Home edition.
So what will happen ... the volume key will be tryed and will not be
accepted by the installation and then you will still be

We have a Corporate Edition copy of XP Pro that is used for most of our
installs. However, I regularly end up rebuilding somebody's personal
computer also and would like to be able to use unattended for XP Home
installs also. I have the Pro corp edition in Z:\os\pro-corp\ and the
files for XP
