Friends, Has anybody managed to get a winxp pro machine to join a samba 2.2.x DOMAIN? I know, from doing it manually, that one has to run regedit /s WinXP.reg BEFORE one can use the Control Panel -> System -> Computer Name -> Change button and it's wizard to join the domain using the Domain Admi

Is their some reason that you cannot use winnt32.exe? It seems like you could boot into WinPE [ http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/programs/sa/support/winpe.asp ], from CD or Network boot, and run winnt32.exe from there. It also seems like this would give you access to all the win32 utilities you
