That would be good to see and similar to what we'd likely be doing. The change is really just in the URL processing code to look for parameters in a different URL format, the processing pipeline code would likely not change much and still just work off the existing structure and theme

Oh, I think the detached window changes are great for uPortal. I was just commenting that it would be possible to do Detached without a WindowState, if you didn't need to force it with a PortletURL. And I think it's something we could look at in the design of things. Similar to how

Eric, Recall that uportal infrastructure sees layouts as folders and channel not tabs and columns. So if anyone ever does decide to put together a non tab/column layout this approach (like the paging that Susan B. started looking at a couple years ago) wouldn't make sense for these enhanced
