You have to click on the appropriate text inside the button/block. Sometimes a
'button' has a couple of different links that do slightly different things. It
would be awkward to have a 3way button
New fonts that I have downloaded that are in my Fontbook on the Mac aren't
showing up in the LibreOffice list of fonts.

i've just installed almost successfully libreoffice 3.5.5 except i

i've tried using apt-get and am unable to uninstall. Atm, its working though.

Thanks Jay, I was able to completely remove it with synaptic, which
I've never used before.
However, on re installation, properly this time, I've only got menu
shortcuts for calc, impress, and printer administration, so there
appears to be some bug still in the debian-menus-desktop-integration
I would remove all traces of LO with Synaptic and any OpenOffice stuff
as well. I know Ubuntu's Synaptic shows some. Also it tends to show
the older version of LO when I thought I removed them with other ways.
Then do the dpkg again.
Do the desktop-integration first, then add the language

Function mydate As Date
mydate = CDate(100)
End Function
I then called this function from a Calc document
=myDate()
Finally, I directly accessed the cells with the dates from a macro
similar to the following code:

Recently I moved from using the version of LibreOffice supplied by my
package manager (aptitude) to the one provided on the LibreOffice
website (currently I am running 3.5.4). So far all is well, but I
noticed one difference that I'd really like to change.
I've set up Capslock to be used
Vertically: =A1+MOD(ROW(A1);2)
Horizontally: =A1+MOD(COLUMN(A1);2)
