I've tried several ways after searching, including one that's supposed to
be for the latest LibreOffice. It's writer I want to change since I don't
use the others. Also I try to set the paragraph spacing the way I want and
it won't stick. A footer with page number will stick.

Hi Robert. Thanks for the reply. It's a 64 bit system and I had installed
32bit Java. It's working now, thanks to all the help from this group!

I found a 64bit Java download It says it can cause problems in 32Bit
browsers (which is the usually installed one for firefox.) There is also a
link to show how to disable it in the browser.
I am totally confused. Should I install the one that seems to be for
browsers, or is there something
Sorry about the attachemnts. I'm not sure how to find a file-sharing site.
I only have the one version of Java. Someone sent me a message about it
needing to be 64 bits, since that's what my LibreOffice is. I've installed
the 32Bit version. Now I just have to find the other one.
Thanks so much

I didn't see anything about having to download them separately.

Why is it that when I do an unformatted paste of what I copied is it all
underlined!
I posted another problem less than an hour ago. Do you think I need to
uninstall and reinstall?

It happens quite often when I paste something I want to save. The box can
be holding a lot of text and you have to stay in it to add your own text.
It's not a table because a right click doesn't bring up table options. I
tried paragraph formate from the right cliick and checked no borders. No
Thank you. Found it. Hopefully that will take care of it.

Someone told me to use "reply all". I found an option under settings to set
it that way. Either has to be one of the other. I guess I'll have to
remember to uncheck it when I don't want to use it. Some groups don't want
to be bothered with everyone's reply.
Anyhow I sent a message out a few
eck "reply" or "reply" all.
Now I find I have a choice after setting it to "reply all." I don't know if
it will work this time since I'd already started this reply.
One more thing I've learned recently. Pretty soon I''ll be "computer savvy.

I right clicked on the date, as someone advised me and the box popped up
with Date (fixed) highlighted. It's not supposed to have changed. I'll
check again tomorrow and see if it's changed again.
Thanks for being patient with me!

be to run a Macro already created, but I didn't see an option to record the

I am just learning to use Writer and started a document. I added footnotes
and then changed things around and the footnotes need to be deleted so I
can start over. But I can't find any way to delete them. They won't
highlight. What am I missing?
Thanks for any help!
