my smppbox/kannel stalls for definitely more than a second.
Did you also get the same error and warning
pipes. Maybe I just have faster hardware than Davit. Not sure.

Now 5000 msgs is different than just 10. But if it happens with 10 messages

Don't use drive_smpp. It is outdated. Among others it doesn't support
ACKs, since it was developed before kannel implemented them
