Hi Filippo,
The ttylinux image provided in the OpenNebula page is _not_ compatible
with VMware. You will need to create a VM using any VMware tool (like
the Virtual Infrastructure Client), and then use the disks (.vmdk) to
create new VMs through OpenNebula.
Hope it helps,

Hi!
Is it possible to control virtual storage (e.g. like Amazon's S3) and other
possible types of virtual resources with OpeneNebula, or only VMs can be
controlled? Thanks.
Cheers,
Humberto

Where can I look to the VM configuration file once it is started? Is iy

Hello everybody,
I have set up opennebula, and it works perfectly. But only with the
ttylinux.img. I can deploy it, ping it, ssh into it, everything is ok.
But i have also create an image with kvm on which i install ubuntu server
10.10. And when I put on opennebula this image, i can run a vm but
Ok, so I will check that the generated IP is the one expected from the
leases list based on this script algorithm.
Is the VM is exploded somewhere at startup? If yes, where?

Hello,
The onevm deploy command requires two parameters : the vm and a host.
I don't understand why it's mandatory to specify a host name when hosts
are grouped into clusters. In this case, the onevm deploy command
would accept a cluster name instead of a host name and OpenNebula would
be
Hi Philippe,
The onevm deploy command will force the virtual machine deployment
ignoring the scheduler decision, so that you have to specify the host where
you want the virtual machine to be deployed.
If you want to use the cluster option, you have to specify the cluster name

Is there a web page where the network configuration on front and nodes is
described? The only thing that I can find is at

I really think that it is a network configuration problem. Here is what I
did :
Is there a link between the MAC address defined in the VM and with the ones
listed with ifconfig on the node? I do not have any.

Hi Christophe,
I've been reading the thread but I think your configuration looks
correct. Can you give it a shot at using VNC to see if the VM is
booting up correctly? Maybe there's a problem with the VM...
Add the following to your ONE template:
GRAPHICS = [
TYPE= vnc,
LISTEN =
No, launch the vncviewer from your desktop PC, connecting to your
worker node (which is running the VM):
vncviewer 192.168.2.61::5900
