Evidently the Add- ons menu item is not entirely the same as the Recent Files
menu item because it is possible to remove the latter from the menu using
Tools Customise. I imagine it would require serious programming to remove
the Add- ons item, if it is even possible without recompiling the
Removing the AddOn menu BTW is simple: don't install AddOns. I'm not
kidding here: if AddOns wanted to have an entry their it wouldn't make
sense to remove the menu because then the AddOn couldn't be operated.
OTOH if there was no AddOn requesting an entry, why should the menu be
displayed at all?

relevant to Customise only when you want to customise the menu itself. The
add-ons menu does not appear in my Customise dialogue either.

minor issue coming on.)
Does the extension control how it's integrated? I have two extensions in Writer
2.0.2 Linux (one I forgot about). The one I had forgotten is in Tools Add-Ons
and the one I installed the other day
