Looks like the trick is creating the file "/etc/apt/preferences.d/sogo"
with the following contents:
Package: sogo
Pin: version 2.3.*
Pin-Priority: 999
It would be nice for them to add the instructions above to their web
page below so that others might save some time.
I was able to download the individual files and install them from a
local directory. Version 2 appears to run properly.
Moving the repository statement from last to first in the sources.list
file helps get some of the files to show up as upgradeable but the main
"sogo" package still wants to
