hello.
your files maybe become corrupted, moved to another locations or even deleted.
if you have the icon of your file and you can click on it, use mouse
right click, property, then if you use windows and newer version than
xp, find previous version, and press space key to activate it and also
confirm it with okay button to restore it to previous version.

I am inclined to believe that you moved the documents from the location
where originally saved to another folder.

If you go to the folder where it currently resides and click on it it
should launch the document. After that you can access it from the drop down
menu for recent docs.

I am needing to open several documents that I have saved in the past,
