I have comcast which dynamically assigns ip address for a period of time, i then have my network NAT'd behind a router. Before it appeared that i kept the same ip address for about 6 months at a time but recently it seems that it changes every 2 weeks or so, i guess they REALLY don't want

I know there are wget scripts out there that will fetch and parse the config URL from your router. dyndns.org has a bunch of scripts that do what you asking. On a related note. I just purchased a Linksys wifi G router, and it has an option to configure it to update your dyndns.org
