Has anyone who is running vpopmail/qmail/mysql
created a backup/redundant or even a secondary server for the same domains? Im
looking to do that and I was wondering if there was any documentation
available. Also is there any documentation
I can read on how to properly backup the e-mails,
This doesn't have anything to do with vpopmail. Very simple
qmail config. On your secondary server, add the domains for which you
are running backup to rcpthosts. Then add the backup server as a lower
priority MX to your DNS. The qmail server on the backup machine will
accept the mail, realize
On second reading I may have misunderstood your question, are you
trying to load balance between two servers for a single domain?
If that is the case a pretty simple solution would be to split up
addresses using subdomains. That is, at the bottom line you have
mail1.domain.com, and
The reason why I asked about the script, is because backups are done by
a different machine. And my apologies for sending an off topic message,
but thank you for your reply you gave me a starting point.

Hi,
I had configure and compile vpopmail to enable roaming...
I am using vpopmail to host multiple domain names.
How can I disable one domain name hosted in a server for roaming
(pop-after-smtp relaying)?
Best regards,
ro0ot

Well, i make a tar.gz file with the crontab of
the /home/vpopmail, where the mailboxes are, but the only important thing is the
file called "vpasswd", with this file you can make a cvs file like this one
./vadduser
-q "quota" [EMAIL PROTECTED]
password
only with this information,
Hello folks,
I heard that squirrelmail worked with POP3 accounts but in
the website it only says that support IMAP. Is there any patch/plugin or
something to make it work with POP3? If no, is there any other good webmail to
use with POP3 servers?
Thanks!

Hi:
Because IMHO the imap webmail solutions are agonizingly slow using the
kinds of connections you are likely to see on the road.

squirrelmail is pretty fast for me.. the only problem it has is indexing my
huge mailing list folders, but

Take it or leave it.
VPOP3 has a webmail server with it. That is why I replied the way I
did.
I will say no more.
