hello, list.
I have problem with adding domains(or email-addresses) with the Norwegian
character æ,ø,å . When I try to add a domain with one of this character I
get a Invalid domain name in Vpopmail. Is there any solution to this
problem? What should I change to make it verify my characters?
Hi All,
I've a qmail+vpopmail+mysql+roaming installation on a A server. I've
up another B server (qmail smtp only) that wish to connect to A server
to check for the relay table for validating users who send emails to B
servers. What options I need to set at the B server?
Thanks

The password is set via vchkpw call

Hi,
How can I force better (longer) passwords for all email accounts on vpopmail?
Thanks in advance,

I've a mail server which I've installed qmail1.03 with vpopmail-5.2.1,
MySQL 3.23 and qmailadmin. All email users are stored in MySQL's

users in different domains. Now, I am migrating everything to another

Hi,
We have qmail+vpopmail,
with smtpauth pop-before-smtp.
We have too many qmail-smtp instances running
at most of the times.
We normally run into slow smtp connections.
It takes even 40 seconds to a minute to connect
to the server(SMTP).
Any pointers on how to resolve this issue.
Also we use

I have about 800 domains, 15000 users total, and I was originally using
my own tools/scripts
to add and remove users. We did this so we could have a deterministic
setup to where the users
and domain directories were. We used simple 2 level alpha hashing on
the domain and usernames.

I guess that at a basic level, we could start by converting any user
inputted domains into their 7-bit punycode format at the beginning of
You should check your DNS setup, in much cases the slow problem is for
these reason.

environment. killall will only kill processes of that name.
