Well, It is kind of working again for some reason. But, I already have the braille display setting to show onscreen keyboard; but I'm away from home and did not bring it with me. But, like I say; it is working right now, though it still plays the sound like QuickNav is involved. very strange.

Hi Richard, Do you sometimes use a braille display? If so, connect it and bring up an edit field. Then on the display, press Space with 146 (the SH symbol for Show/Hide). This should reveal the keyboard. Then turn off the display. the keyboard should remain. I also suggest going into

I could use a flash of brilliance about now from someone who can intuit what the heck I did to settings. Yesterday, and now today, whenever I bring up an edit box as in writing an email, replying to an email, trying to do a web search, etc., I hear the sound that gos with QuickNav, or used to.
