An update, its still not working, but I tried going the opposite way and connecting to
my work computer from home and it works fine. I closed anything that could be slowing
the connection and i'm still getting that same error. If anyone has any suggestions
please let me know

Me again, I did get it fixed, it was a router issue because I had 2 routes (5800
5900) both called VNC, apparently my router needs them to be named distinctly
(although it never actually tells you that anywhere). So now with routes VNC1 and
VNC2

Of course...you *may* want to confirm that your router
