The DateTime issue was the result of my sloppy upgrade. I failed to
copy over the new AppServer, Launch, etc. to my context directory.
I have to resolve a few issues with mx.DateTime in my own code, but
Webware is now running with the MySQLD-python 1.2 version.

Thanks for the update!
I actually keep my context next to my app dir to remind myself that
they are separate and can be swapped in and out. One doesn't have to
be nested inside the other. So I have something like:
appname/
rundir/ -- the app work dir
webapp/ -- the context
weblib/
