Actually, renters DO pay property taxes, which is rolled into the rent. The
property taxes on rental property I believe are even higher than on
homestead property (This was true in the past

Watching the discussion I think the solution is to have a surcharge on the
rent based on the amount the taxes went up.Then people can see what

Some are proposing that citizens should not vote unless they own property.
I propose that citizens not vote until they pass an IQ test. That measure,
too, would have affected the referendum vote.
