Hi,
I have committed support for disabling OID resolution and suppressing
SMI errors in 32096.
Since OID resolution will be disabled by default from now, I hope to
make everyone happy. :-)
(Except those who want to use non smilint clean MIBS with Wireshark, but
they are free to fix libsmi.
Hi Pascal,
It seems that libsmi 0.4.8 is more picky than 0.4.7 I tested my patch
with. :-(
I plan to remove the workaround from Wireshark as it makes more problems
than it solves.
It means that https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4174
will remain open.
Any objections?
Cheers,

How about an option to NOT load any MIBs at all instead?
Rationale: Either you need MIBs, in which case they need to be complete
and correct, or you don't.

I would be okay with that, but prefs are still read after loading the
MIBs. :-(
I could make a hack to store this particular preference in an uat, but
this does not seem to be a good idea. :-(
The best would be fixing libsmi.
Is there anyone familiar with libsmi's code? :-)
