Yeah, I have no idea how to use jQuery.
I guess I'll just hope someone will develop a plugin that does this!

I tried to report this a couple times since RC1 but my emails never
reached the tester list, so here we go again.
In 2.5 I can't get the published date to change at all. Once the post has
been published clicking edit on the date, changing it and then hitting
save keeps the old publish date/time.
Just tested, and it worked for me - I set a post's date and time to
the previous day, saved it, and the change worked as expected.

Are you using firefox? Instead of worrying about it getting fixed
soon, I've just started using the flash block addon to block flash
from loading and use the regular uploader and it's working fine.
However I'm aware this isn't a fix but I really really wanted to use
the media uploader.
Do you have Bad Behavior or any other plugins or server software
enabled which could be blocking the user-agent Shockwave Flash? If
so, either remove that individual block or disable the
plugin/software.
For Bad Behavior, a workaround is here:

You are GREAT! Upgrading to 1.0 of WordPress Automatic Upgrades did the
