missing is XFree86 which i can't get to work properly.
I've installed freetype-2.1.3 just the way as can be seen on this page:

and XFree-4.2.1 (4.2.0 sources +

then, as root, run sh ./Xinstall.sh
you should be able to use the default answer to all the questions you are
asked during the install (jusr press return)

xine in full screen mode plays sound but no video, in the error mess it says that
theres no Xv compactibility ???
