I don't know why the fgPixel is an unsigned long int. The protocol doesn't allow larger than 32 bits for the foreground pixel and anything above the first 4 bytes is always going to be zero. Is this causing a build problem for you? I suppose we could cast it. Mark.

I have downloaded the XFree86 4.3.0 source code and the mgadrivers-2.1-src from matrox's web site. I am running linux kernel 2.4.20 with glibc-2.3.1 and gcc 3.2.1. do I need to copy the mgadrivers source into the xc directory to compile them or do I need to copy them into my linux source tree
