I don't know why the fgPixel is an unsigned long int. The protocol
doesn't allow larger than 32 bits for the foreground pixel and anything
above the first 4 bytes is always going to be zero. Is this causing a
build problem for you? I suppose we could cast it.

I am a somewhat new xfree86 user, and am trying to use a new matrox
millenium p750 on FreeBSD 5.1. It is an AGP card, and I have two monitors

I have installed XFree86 Version 4.3.0 from the FreeBSD ports collection.
My first step was to run:
X -configure
and
'witchdesk' command worked
thanks

I have downloaded the XFree86 4.3.0 source code and the mgadrivers-2.1-src
from matrox's web site. I am running linux kernel 2.4.20 with glibc-2.3.1
and gcc 3.2.1. do I need to copy the mgadrivers source into the xc
directory to compile them or do I need to copy them into my linux source
tree

There are no errors reported on the console or in /var/log/XFree86.0.log
The end of /var/log/XFree86.0.log is:

I believe you need XFree86 3.0 for that card, ie. Redhat 9.
