I can't think of any cause for this. I've seen another report of such a thing under Xinerama (or maybe it was the same report), but was unable to reproduce. I spend hours in front of my Xinerama system every day and it runs for weeks straight, being shut down only when I upgrade XFree86.

I don't know what shmat() is being used for, but it fails when trying to POST the Tseng card. It could be a bug specific to Mandrake's XFree86 build, or it could be a system level problem. You might want to upgrade to XFree86 4.4. Changing the order of the screens might help (ie. have
