Hello everyone,
I've recently upgraded from Win2k+Xmail 1.25 to RHEL5.5 + Xmail 1.27.

This raises an interesting question...
How do 3rd party IMAP implementations handle multiple Xmail domains.

Davide, in the case where xmail emits an error - **other than**
smail/smtp/filter/etc log files...
Where does Xmail write errors like file missing on return from filter??
I know in sendmail this is written to the maillog. In debug mode it might
write to screen, but that information is lost if
Still on pre11, but I've been running with a post-rcpt glst filter for 24
hrs now without problem, in addition to the existing post/pre-data in/out
filters.
Running on W2k sp4.
I'll move to pre 12 now.

Hmm, I had that under 1.23pre04. I then removed the port-rcpt filter and
upgraded to 1.23pre11
I'll have a look at adding the port-rcpt filter again and if it fails, then
look at the jit debugger.

Davide, I read this:

And found this in the readme:

Davide, I'm curious. The original GLST implementation dealt with the triplet
of info, the host IP, the To and From email address.
I notice that in the post-rcpt implementation, the filters log shows * as
the second entry.
How does this integrate with the triplets already in the database?
Why
Francesco,
You are correct in that DNS does allow trailing dot, in fact when we use dns
names without trailing dots, we are using relative dns names.
This is why you configure a domain name in your resolv.conf or in windows'
interface dns dialog.
I have no idea as to why the MTA RFC might not

Norbert,
There are DNS block lists out there that allow you to look up a domain to
see if it is listed, in just the same way you'd look up an ip address in a
RBL.
Something like
If the RBL was rbl.tld.cc
And the domain to look up was spammer.com
Then...
spammer.com.rbl.tld.cc

Could I also trouble you for a w32 binary, for us poor saps that don't get a

Would that not be a problem with your spam filter, and not a problem with

You cannot change it per smtp connection when you host multiple domains.
To do that, you need to run multiple instances of xmail, each with one
domain.
The idea of the HELO/EHLO is to identify the host, rather than the domain of
the email being sent.
The host sending does not need to in the same
