Is there a way to redirect a X window that is already running on a screen to another screen/computer without closing it and re-running it? (like GNU screen, but not quite VNC) If not, how hard would this be to implement? Thanks for your ideas, Mark PS, is there an archive for xperts somewhere?

I've seen this problem mentioned but the only fix I've already tried with no success. I compiled and installed Xfree 4.2.1 on my Solaris 8 x86 machine. The Xserver works fine, the problem is one of keyboard mapping. The keys on the QWER and ASDF rows are off by one, on ZXCV row they are out by

[Xpert]Trident chips misidentified?

I am trying to chase up a bug report I made a week ago: IBM Thinkpad 560E, X 4.2.1 X hangs on entering standby and box will not power up again. Laso happens on switching to CRT from LCD. I have just noticed that the log shows the Trident chip has been misidentified. Is this a possible cause? ls
