Re: [delicious-discuss] del.icio.us clusterer
Cynical people like myself may feel a little uncomfortable giving you guys our username/password. Is there any way this could work with just my username? Re: [delicious-discuss] Clay on categories, links, and tags
Isn't there a huge gap here in that Spotlight and Google Desktop don't actually give me control of the metadata associated with my files? Personally I'd like to be able to tag any object (e.g. file, email, web bookmark, chunk of code) with any tag, and indeed with any other object, and then browse the network of links, but I'm not sure we'll see it any time soon. [delicious-discuss] Is it okay to have two del.icio.us accounts?
I've just started playing with del.icio.us (after having admired but not really understood it for some time), and it occurs to me that it might be cool to have two different accounts; say one for my personal links, and another one intended for more public consumption on my weblog (I'm thinking, for instance, that del.icio.us might make a good enabler for a tag system for the weblog). I want to check, though, and make sure that none of these things is considered abusive. So: - Is it okay for one person to have more than one del.icio.us account? - Is it okay to have a del.icio.us account that's only used to bookmark and assign tags to entries from one's own weblog? For instance? (Whether doing this via two separate accounts is the best way to do this or not is another question that I'm still thinking about. But I want to check to make sure it's okay before I waste too much time thinking about whether it's technically attractive...) [delicious-discuss] Blog posting with Blogger Atom API
This is my first post here on del.icio.us discuss; my name is Dante and I'm a del.icio.us fan and HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP developer. What I am asking is how to use the daily blog posting with the Blogger Atom API. Is it possible? I tried it and I get an error 401 (Unauthorization). My username and password are both correct, as well as the other fields. Any ideas? -- Dante dantecubed.com: Web Design, Development more [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [delicious-discuss] Is it okay to have two del.icio.us accounts?
I don't think it's a big deal if you have two different accounts, but it's probably easier to have it all under one account plus your own blog items tagged as blog or something. -j On Fri, 27 May 2005, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I've just started playing with del.icio.us (after having admired but not really understood it for some time), and it occurs to me that it might be cool to have two different accounts; say one for my personal links, and another one intended for more public consumption on my weblog (I'm thinking, for instance, that del.icio.us might make a good enabler for a tag system for the weblog). [delicious-discuss] ANN: Cocoalicious 1.0b35 (Star Ratings More)
Cocoalicious 1.0b35 is now available for download:http://www.scifihifi.com/cocoalicious/downloads/Cocoalicious_1.0b35.dmgChanges include:- Star Ratings: Cocoalicious now recognizes tags that consist entirely of repeated asterix characters as star ratings, and displays the ratings in the post table as graphic stars, à la iTunes. The ratings can also be manipulated directly by dragging in the rating column (again, just like iTunes).- Sortable Table Columns: This has to be the all-time winner for most inexcusable unimplemented feature in Cocoalicious. Fortunately, it's finally in.-"Type-to-Select" in Tag Table: Typing while the tag table has focus will now cause the first match for the letters typed to be automatically selected (à la Address Book).- Delay of API HTTP requests: The del.icio.us API docs stipulate that clients should never submit more than one request to the API per second, and since the star rating feature makes that scenario a lot more likely, my del.icio.us API access code will now check to see if a second has elapsed since the last API request, and delay the request if it hasn't.- Assorted bug fixes: Including one for a crasher that could happen on reload.A more detailed explanation of these changes can be found here:http://weblog.scifihifi.com/2005/05/30/cocoalicious-10b35-star-ratings-more/Enjoy!--Buzz Andersenweb: http://weblog.scifihifi.com___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
