Hello,

i´ve already read many posts about checksum error on zpools but i like to have
some more informations, please.

We use 2 sun servers (amd x64, SunOS, 5.10 Generic_118855-36, hopefully all
patches) with two hardware raids (raid 10) connected through fibre channel.
Disk space is about 3 TB split into 4 pool including several (about 10 - 15)
zfs each. After 22 days uptime i got a first checksum error entry after zpool
scrub (running once a week on every pool). As i got no errors on my raid
systems, no error entry on my servers (message files) i like to know what this
error is based on. The zpool status information told me that at least one
devices had a repairable error that had been tried to recover. And now i should
check for hardware errors on those devices.

        NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
        system ONLINE 0 0 0
          mirror ONLINE 0 0 0
            c3t113d3 ONLINE 0 0 0
            c4t210000D023209353d3 ONLINE 0 0 1

All the physical and logical disks are o.k. so i can´t imagine where the
problem had been.

Many thanks for all informations.
