versions of evince, poppler, and shared-mime-info, but evince says:
File type PDF document (application/pdf) is not supported
epdfview works, but it segfaults when trying to open shipping labels
from usps.com. Does anyone

I found out evince 2.30 made its way into the tree, but I see no bug
in bugzilla regarding evince stabilization.
As the commit message states new version for Gnome 2.30, does this
means I should look at the bug to stabilize Gnome 2.30 (#324077)
instead?

I have noticed that evince, qpdfview and acroread handle pdf files
differently.
So, if one of these fails you might try another one. Most of the time,

Well, I would have assumed that cups-pdf would be necessary for printing to
PDF, but I would like to see a screenshot of this default empty field.
I have not installed cups-pdf and don't use evince for printing. But i

The app that's causing all the pain is evince (if I could abandon

evince is display the "check-mark". On my other computer the check mark is
displayed as a "square box"

When I try to view "ps" file with evince I get an error:
evince is compiled with: (cups introspection postscript spell tiff)
%interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval--
--nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval--
--nostringval--
I had poppler-0.45.0 installed, I had to re-install it again and evince
compiled just fine.
