no, it is not. Some files in the backup might be ok. But there is no guarantee
for it. So you have to check the files in the backup, if they are correct.
And you have to do that with every file that you want to restore.

using sudo does not makes you a root user. To become a root user you have to
switch with "su -" (and login with root password).
Sudo has its own configuration file. If you can do something with sudo on other
systems means there is a different configuration for sudo.

I am trying to get LTSP working here.
All appear on the right track with one apparent problem, tftp'ing the file.
When I boot a client it appears to pull in the network information but
when it starts to tftp the file, I receive a message that the file is
