That sounds awful.Hi guys,
To the best of my knowledge, Sun's JWSDP1.4 has a beta implementation
of JSR105 that included with it
Please do not get me started on JSR105.. :(
The RI of JSR105, the one that' sin JWSDP1.4 is actually based on the Apache implementation under the hood. And it's the intention of both IBM and Sun to contribute this back to Apache. All great stuff.. the catch is that it involved lawyers in 3 different organisations and will thus take a long long time. It's a very slow process, but as far as I know there still is progress.. I was planning to send out some emails to try to get another status update this weekend, so I'll do that right away and get back when there is some news. The plan has been all along to take the JSR105 stuff, merge any changes that are made in the present version that aren't applied yet and make that the basis of version 2 of the API. I'll let you guys know when there's more progress..
I have the feeling (from some stacktraces that people has send me) that the RI of JSR105 has some apache code in it(some package is call apache). But I didn't want to dig dipper as reading the download EULA give me headaches :(
So as I also don't know if they are going to merge the changes soon, I was planning to begin to do one implementation. But now, with this information I can wait a little more to see how the issue resolve.
Thanks for the information.
