It's not that big of a deal... Besides I assume you are analyzing the
legal repercussions when the image gets trademarked by someone else
and holds it over our heads but that can happen if someone holds it in
escrow-- the only solution would be having one of the board members do
it, and I don't know about you guys but I don't have funds available
for trademarking. I suggest we move forward and just *pick* the thing.

The voting would not start until the 19th-- that gives you five days
(including a weekend) to come up with a logo. Now is the best time as
it will  be the first one people see, no?

I'm pretty sure most or all of the logos can be modified for color
scheme. If we want to decide on color schemes, it should be in a
separate vote. One step at a time.

And nothing precludes any of the logos from being recasted for
individual components, and I don't think we would get rid of the logo
ideas page, but only add a note that we've decided on an official
logo. Recall that the official logo does not even have to be
permanent.
