Here's a snippet snatched from Wikipedia. Oddly, I did not see any
mention in this in the entire, rather long essay by the promoter of
"MMS."
"Sodium chlorite, NaClO2 also finds application as a component in
therapeutic rinses, mouthwashes, toothpastes and gels, mouth sprays,
chewing gums and lozenges, and also in contact lens cleaning solution
under the trade name purite."
It would seem to me that if the product already has such uses, the risk
to human health from ingestion must be reasonably low.
