It might have been silver nitrate. Nitrates can cause seizures, for
instance sodium nitrate can cause severe seizures. So if you use that
line of reasoning you could say that sodium causes seizures. Fact is it
is the nitrate that causes them, yet for many experiments meant to show
problems with silver, they are done with silver nitrate, ignoring that
it is the nitrate that causes the problems, not the silver. Google
nitrates seizures.

a couple years ago i read a case that i found in, or maybe through, some
gov't site like CDC or NIH about a guy who had developed extreme constant
seizures (no rest) from silver. but it wasn't from CS at all. i think it
was some kind of occupational exposure, but i forget...this was when i was
looking for anything to convince me to not get into CS, and i was looking
pretty hard and had learned enough to realize it had nothing to do with CS.

I've mentioned this before that I've spent considerable time and some
money tracking the sources of claims like this.
