It might have been silver nitrate. Nitrates can cause seizures, for instance sodium nitrate can cause severe seizures. So if you use that line of reasoning you could say that sodium causes seizures. Fact is it is the nitrate that causes them, yet for many experiments meant to show problems with silver, they are done with silver nitrate, ignoring that it is the nitrate that causes the problems, not the silver. Google nitrates seizures.
