I had a similar problem on the underside of wrist and realized I was
flirting with carpal tunnel syndrome.
Does it hurt to put pressure on your fingers?
I cured it with DMSO (70%) over which I put a generous layer of Topricin
Cream.
Did this at least two, three times a day.
Highly recommend the Topricin with DMSO.
Topricin is designed for carpal tunnel and stops the DMSO from itching.
Also cured tennis elbow (bad case!) that same way.
Don't know much about the laser treatment, I'm interested in learning about
that myself.

I tried the DMSO and laser on my joint where the hand meets the wrist at
the thumb (have some bony abnormalities there.) I held the laser a couple
inches away. It was very bright and I was wondering if I should wear
protective eye covering or not. It seemed to sting a little. Should I
hold the laser right up against the skin? Having some kind of problem on
that whole underside of the wrist, sensitive skin and pain inside on
lateral side right where the hand joins the wrist. I've tried to make sure
I'm not using the computer differently ...keeping hand and arm aligned,
etc. I've used plain DMSO on it a couple times, but can't really tell if
it helps.
