Dann,

Using the latest udpcast on the imageserver did not work. Seeing same error as before 
from the client side.  Connects to udp-sender but no transfer takes place.  Still feel 
that could be a problem with the initrd.img

If you can take a look at it, I sent you instructions to login to our cluster already.

ah - thought for sure you'd be using the newer stuff... i guess we hadn't posted that 
on our site yet.

i'd suggest trying alain's latest udpcast rpm.

the udpcast website is down as a protest against software patents.
  http://www.udpcast.linux.lu/

though, you should be able to find a copy in the oscar distribution:
  http://sf.net/projects/oscar

this is what the oscar people tested with, so hopefully you'll have better luck.  is 
this machine's console in a place i can get to from the hp corp net? if so, and you 
still have problems after trying the latest udp-sender, i can try poking around.
