I'm trying to clone a ubuntu installation on Dell Precision 340. I've used systemimager in the past with other linux distros - and it's worked fine.
I followed the instructions for debian, and installed version 3.4.0-2. Everything works okay, until I boot for the first time - it goes into kernel panic because it can't find /dev/null. When I check the /dev directory of the image on the imageserver - there is nothing in the /dev directory. If the stable version is 3.4.1 - how come the debian version is 3.4.0-2? How can I get a newer debian version? I googled for the specific error, and it seems other people have gotten the same error with /dev. Was the problem fixed? What am I missing?
